| Distribution and marketing petroleum products is the core-business of Energy Group Spa. Established following the merger between Orion Petroli of Reggio Emilia and Milano Petroli, Energy Group is the heir to a long cooperative tradition that dates back to the years that followed the Second World War and Cooperativa Carburanti e Lubrificanti, one of the founders of which was none other than Alcide Cervi. Today, Energy Group is one of the most important players in northern Italy’s petroleum product market, with a network of almost 100 filling stations that market various different brands, Tamoil and Agip to name just two. Creation of the Energy house brand has contributed towards increasingly diversified and qualified proposals with competitive prices that are particularly favourable for the consumer. Energy Group also sells fuels and lubricants for industry and agriculture, with storage and business facilities in the provinces of Reggio Emilia, Parma, Piacenza, Turin, Cuneo, Biella, Milan and Verbania. The business has also been extended to the provinces of Romagna and lower Veneto thanks to shares in Eurocap Petroli. In 2011, the road network development policies led to 7 filling stations being opened on a co-branding basis with Tamoil, consolidation of the relations with Eni (rental of a company division) and plans for sales outlets in popular shopping areas; this in synergy with the consumer cooperatives and in collaboration with certain CCPL member cooperatives active in the building industry. The important Enercoop project, in partnership with Coop Consumatori, was part of this development strategy thanks to which a new station was opened in Correggio and others will be opened shortly in Reggio Emilia. | |
